2.64 describe the role of ADH in regulating the water content of the blood

2.64 •amount of water reabsorbed in the nephrons is controlled by ADH
                  •ADH makes the nephrons more permeable, so more water can be reabsorbed 

        •the brain monitors water content in the blood
                  •it instructs the pituitary gland, in the hypothalamus in the brain, to release ADH into the blood, according to how much is needed

        •osmoregulation is is controlled by negative feedback
                  •if the water content gets too high or too low, a mechanism will be triggered to bring it back to normal
